"Meeting with the Police Commissioner..." Citizens Respond Enthusiastically to Pimpri Chinchwad Commissioner's Initiative... The Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has launched a special initiative titled "Meeting with the Police Commissioner" (Police Ayuktananchi Bhet) to establish a more effective, transparent, and positive dialogue with the public. Under this initiative, citizens and visitors to the city are provided with the opportunity to meet directly with the Police Commissioner and other senior officials to present their suggestions, complaints, and expectations. Citizens are not required to obtain any prior permission for this purpose; they may meet the Police Commissioner without any hindrance during the designated time slot on the day of the initiative. On March 9, 2026, the special initiative "Meeting with the Police Commissioner" was organized at Shivneri Hall, located within the Police Commissioner's Office premises. A total of 76 citizens attended this event. Present at Shivneri Hall for the program were the Police Commissioner, the Joint Police Commissioner, all Additional Police Commissioners, and all Deputy Police Commissioners; additionally, all Assistant Police Commissioners and Senior Police Inspectors participated via video conferencing. During the event, citizens presented their various issues, including traffic-related concerns and suggestions. Among those present at the initiative was Parameshwar Giram—the complainant in a burglary case registered at Dighi Police Station (Crime Reg. No. 510/2025). He felicitated the Honorable Police Commissioner and commended the police force for their exemplary performance in successfully recovering 100% of the gold jewelry stolen during the crime. Similarly, office-bearers from the Orthopedic Doctors' Association of Pimpri Chinchwad were in attendance; they articulated their concerns, offered suggestions, and expressed their willingness to actively assist the police. The "Meeting with the Police Commissioner" initiative concluded successfully. This initiative is scheduled to continue every Monday, and citizens are encouraged to take full advantage of this opportunity. The event witnessed the participation of a large number of citizens from Pimpri Chinchwad, including industrial representatives, women, and senior citizens. Citizens, students, and visitors to the city are urged to attend this initiative and present their complaints and suggestions.
