Pimpri Chinchwad Police celebrated a senior citizen's birthday.

23 Mar 2026

With the aim of making police services and other essential amenities easily accessible to senior citizens in Pimpri Chinchwad city, Police Commissioner Mr. Vinay Kumar Choubey has launched an innovative initiative by developing an application named "Jyeshthanubandh." Under this initiative, whenever senior citizens utilize the aforementioned app to report issues—whether related to the police department or concerning their personal difficulties—immediate assistance is provided to them by the police force. To date, more than 28,000 senior citizens residing within the Pimpri Chinchwad jurisdiction have downloaded this app and registered their participation. Taking this initiative a step further, Mr. Vinay Kumar Choubey has undertaken a unique measure: directing police personnel to pay regular visits to senior citizens on a daily basis to understand their difficulties, and—notably—to celebrate their birthdays. In accordance with this directive, police officers and constables visit the homes or old-age homes of senior citizens within their jurisdiction whose birthdays are falling on that day; they celebrate the occasion by cutting a cake and presenting a floral bouquet, thereby doubling the joy of the celebration. Over the past two days, police officers and constables personally visited and celebrated the birthdays of the following senior citizens residing within the Police Commissionerate's jurisdiction: 1) Mrs. Sushila Kapaldas Gulani (61 years old), resident of Navtajdham Old Age Home, Ambi, Taluka Maval, Dist. Pune; 2) Mrs. Padma Kishor Sarpoddar (77 years old), resident of Kuldeep Residency, Flat No. 01, Sector No. 1, near Vaishnomata Temple, Indrayaninagar, Bhosari, Pune; and 3) Mr. Nayan Ramakant Pansare (74 years old), resident of Blue Ridge, Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Phase 1, Hinjewadi, Pune. Senior citizens have expressed their delight regarding this initiative, which is set to be implemented on a daily basis throughout the jurisdiction of the Commissionerate. The "Jyeshthanubandh" initiative is receiving a positive response from senior citizens residing within the limits of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. Police Commissioner Mr. Vinay Kumar Choubey has appealed to as many citizens as possible to download the "Jyeshthanubandh" app and register their participation.
